In addition to the resources above, the South Carolina Lt. Governor’s Office on Aging has a great program called GetCareSC.  If someone is looking for services to benefit a senior citizen or someone with a disability, he/she can either search for services through an online database, or speak with an information specialist from the county where the services are needed.

Another resource is the SC Assistive Technology Program.  They have a service that helps people find assistive technology such as wheelchairs, tub benches, vehicle lifts, etc.  Also, if someone has an old wheelchair, walker, shower chair, etc. that is no longer needed, it can be donated and we will clean it up and find a home for it, or the owner can list it for sale or giveaway through the SC Assistive Technology Exchange.
